Spanish style salad with spicy prawns

Spring inspires us in the kitchen to prepare fresh and colourful meals, and today I want to share with you a delicious and simple style salad. Living in Spain definitely influenced my cooking. I use Spanish style cooking in some of my recipes. Also, in this one, I made prawns with garlic in olive oil, one of the typical tapas when you visit Spain. However, my prawns are made a bit spicy since I discovered cayenne peppers. If you don’t like spicy food, simply don’t add cayenne.

Clean prawns, chopped garlic and 2 cayenne peppers
Frying in olive oil for about 8 min

  • 5-6 prawns
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cayenne peppers
  • salad mix: lettuce, rocket, baby spinach
  • 10 olives
  • 1 red pepper
  • sesame seeds
  • chia seeds
  • salt, pepper

Preparation time

18 min

  1. Fry prawns, chopped garlic and cayenne peppers in olive oil for 8-10 min. Keep stirring. Garlic will turn light brown.
  2. In a bowl, put all the other ingredients and mix together.
  3. Spread the fried prawns with garlic and olive oil on top of the salad mix.

Enjoy your spicy spring salad! Let me know if you like this Spanish style infusion!
